“Instagram Unleashes Powerful New Features for Direct Messages: Editing, Pins, and More!”
Instagram Direct Messages (DMs) have just received a delightful makeover! Let’s dive into the exciting new features that will enhance your messaging experience:
Edit Your Messages: Made a typo or need to tweak something? No worries! You can now edit messages up to 15 minutes after sending. Simply press and hold the sent message, then choose “edit” from the dropdown menu.
Pin Chats to Top of Inbox: For those important conversations with best friends or family, you’ll soon be able to pin up to three group or 1:1 chats for easy access. Swipe left or tap and hold on the chat, then tap “pin” to move it to the top of your inbox. You can unpin a thread anytime.
Toggle Read Receipts: Read receipts let others know you’ve read their message. Now, you have the power to turn read receipts on or off for all your chats or specific ones. To manage this, go to account settings, tap Messages and story replies, and toggle read receipts.
Save Your Favorite Stickers: No more sticker hunting! You can save your favorite stickers in DMs for quick access. Just press and hold the sticker you want to save, and it’ll be waiting for you at the top next time you need it.
Enhanced Replies: When replying to messages, you can now use a variety of media: stickers, GIFs, videos, photos, and voice messages. Express yourself in style! Simply press and hold on the message you want to reply to, select “reply,” and explore the options.
Personalize Your Chats with Themes: Set the mood for your chat with different themes. Whether you’re planning a get-together or having fun banter with friends, there’s a theme for every occasion. Check out themes like Love (soon to be animated), Lollipop, and Avatar: The Last Airbender. To change the theme, tap the chat name, go into themes, and pick one.
